    Let’s work the physical and subtle bodies!

    This yoga group is for those who know yoga is much more than gymnastics.

    The diseases appear first in the subtle body and then in the physical body. By directing the life force through pranayama (breath work) postures (asanas), mantras, affirmations, mudras, bioenergetic exercises, guided imagery, deep relaxation, and chakra awareness, we can enhance the healing process.

    When?

    Monday: 6:00pm to 7:15pm

    Wednesday, 9:00am to 10:15 am EDT

    Where? Zoom platform.

    Fee: $70 for 6 classes or 125 for 12 classes (Monday and Wednesday)

    4. Reduces Stress & Pain – Mindful breathing and relaxation techniques can help alleviate chronic pain associated with osteoporosis.

    5. Encourages Better Body Awareness – Helps individuals move mindfully, reducing sudden movements that could lead to fractures.

    Yoga vs osteoporosis workshop

    Yoga can be a great tool for osteoporosis management when done safely with proper modifications. Consulting with a physician or physical therapist, practicing under a trained instructor, and avoiding high-risk movements are essential for reaping the benefits while minimizing risks.

    In this workshop you will learn

    - A daily practice that improves bone mineral density and bone quality.

    - 12 yoga poses that have been proven to reverse and cure osteoporosis.

    - Ways to teach different versions of the poses according to your needs, or those of your students (beginners, intermediate, advanced).

    - The difference between the "side effects" of yoga (improved posture, balance, strength, etc.) and those associated with medications.

    You will receive a basic workbook with the yoga series prescribed by Dr Fishman.

    Anna Vasudevan

    She is a licensed Yoga therapist, registered Yoga Teacher (500 RYT) with Yoga Alliance, and Master of Arts (MA).

    She has been practicing meditation for more than 25 years. She's Kriyaban and a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda.

    She teaches Anahata Yoga, the yoga of the heart, Nada Yoga, the yoga of the sound, and Chakra Yoga, which helps students reach a higher level of awareness - to deeply connect, expand, and the their hearts: through asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation.

    The classes are online, and sometimes in person, in Brazil and the USA.
